What is the “Oli Oli” in Dubai?
Oli Oli is an experiential play museum for children in Dubai. The idea behind this concept museum is to provide edutainment for kids.
Interestingly OliOli means ‘Joy’ in Hawaiian and no wonder your joy actually knows no bounds when you are here, with your kids and family.
The official website of Oli Oli says that it is ‘made with love for families to come together, play and bond.’ And it’s incredible that they have made this purpose come alive inside every gallery and in each activity inside Oli Oli.
Oli Oli Location
Oli Oli is located in Oli Oli Building, Al Quoz 1, Dubai . The address to reach is 62 4 A St – Al Quoz 1.
Al Quoz is situated exactly at the halfway point between old and new Dubai. While this is primarily an industrial or factory area, yet, with attractions like Oli Oli, Street Maniax, and Alserkal Avenue coming up, Al Quoz seems to offer more and more fun places in the future.
How to get to Oli Oli ?
How to get to the Oli Oli by metro
The metro may not be a recommended choice of transport to come to Oli Oli, as there is no direct metro connectivity.
The nearest metro station is On Passive Metro Station, on the red metro line. From On Passive you will either have to take a cab or walk to the nearest bus stop, which is Shirawi, Scania 2. Then take a bus to Oasis Center 1 and walk 400 metres to reach Oli Oli.
Since Al Quoz is an industrial area, there are heavy vehicles on the roads and you may want to avoid walking around.
Also, it will take you longer to reach by metro and bus. And, it’s obviously not very convenient when travelling with kids. So taking a cab or driving to Oli Oli may be a better choice to reach Oli Oli.
Oli Oli Parking
Oli Oli has its own parking area, just outside the entrance. You can park here and head straight inside to the reception counter.
How much is the ticket for Oli Oli Dubai?

Oli Oli Review
The moment we entered the Oli Oli premise, my child was captivated by the video footage, next to the entrance wall. So right besides the entrance, there’s a camera station, where you can shoot short clips of yours, which are casted on the wall immediately and automatically in a continuous trail. Kids love to make funny faces and see themselves on the wall. The fun begins right there and then, even before you show your tickets at the reception
Inside Oli Oli, there are 8 theme based interactive galleries or zones. Each gallery has a wide range of hands-on activities that are both fun and educational. The water zone is right behind the reception counter and it is very tempting to go there first. But, I suggest keeping it for the end, and you’ll know why, by the end of this post.
The ground floor has the Air and Water galleries, Toshi’s nets, exhibition area and the La Petite Treehouse cafe. The air and water galleries both have a wide range of theme based hands-on activities to keep the kids busy.
The exhibition area offered Dino’s quest , at the time of our visit. I have the multi visit pass which offers access to permanent galleries only. But it was possible to upgrade to access Dino Quest, for just an additional charge of AED 10.
The first floor has the Future Park, Cars & Ramps, Creative Lab, Incredi-Balls and Toddler’s zone. We had a lot of fun in the Cars & Ramps section, where we built a lot of cars with Lego blocks and test drove them from the ramp.
The Future Park has an interesting display of colourful aquatic themed and city themed visuals inside it. What makes it fun, is that it offers crayons and colouring sheets for kids.
They have a projector to scan your child’s work and the child’s creative work is displayed in that visual stream. It’s quite exciting for kids to spot their art work on the walls and trace its movement. What’s even more interesting is that just like real aquatic animals, the drawings of fish, seahorse, jellyfish etc move away, when we touch them.
As the name suggests, the Incredi-Balls had some fun activities involving balls.
After covering all other galleries, we came to the water gallery in the end. It was fun, it was wet and it was so enjoyable for all kids alike. Oli Oli staff members provide kids with a raincoat, in this gallery. But I would suggest carrying a spare set of clothes, as the kids would surely need to change after this.
The activities at Oli Oli are very engaging and enjoyable for kids and adults alike.
